headlights flickering?

i put aftermarket headlights into my 86 iroc and now when i turn the high beams on they start to flicker after a few seconds. any ideas about the problem would be appreciated.

Put a volt meter on the power feed wire off the back of the alternator and see if it jumps around. If not then I would be checking in liner connections and the grounds to the headlights. Check at the dimmer switch too. See if they flicker on high beams as well.

Flickering is usually caused by a bad light switch.
That has just been my experiance.
