  • Ching Ching Problem

I am about to pull my hair out with this "ching ching / rattle" problem my 1987 IROC-Z has been having for over 10 years now. I have had multiple mechanics check the brakes, shock towers / suspension, front end and everywhere you could possibly look underneath the car. Yet, no one can find the problem. The car is stock overall. It does have wheel spacers for the after market wheels that are on it, but they wouldn't be able to move due to the lugs being tightened down on them. Could someone please give some divine insight?! Thank You.

she is probaby asking for more mods J/K

When do you hear it, accelarating, braking, certain rpm range, all the time? Does it appear to be coming from the front or rear?

Check the exhaust, If its custom there may be something in it then.

It has stock exhaust, no mods. It happens when it goes over bumps and I am almost certain it is coming from the front end. When I hit the brakes it seems to tame the sound. And yes I have had the brakes checked multiple times and still here i am posting this message. Thanks again.
