  • Titling Issues

Hi, this is my first post here.

I just finished a Cobra replica recently and now want to consider a 69 Camaro build. A friend of mine told me about the new steel bodies that are available. I was also told that you could practically build a new car from the ground up with mail order parts. After seeing the Eckler's catalog, I am convinced that may be possible.

My question is: Can you title a car that you built from the ground up and WITHOUT a donor car? Obviously you would not have a COA to use as you would with a kit car per se. But is there anyone out there that has done what I am proposing and have been able to title and license their car?

    Thanks, Dan

    New Camaro Build

According to Dynacorn Classic Bodies, you must check your state vehicle laws since vehicle rebuild codes vary from state to state. Most states would title the vehicle has a "home built" Camaro, and title it as such much like a kit car.
