1978 Camaro

I've been looking for another 2nd Gen to start on for a couple of weeks now. Went yesterday and looked at 1978 that was advertised as solid body and suspension, no motor or transmission. Car needs both quarters, right fender but does appear to be complete with P/S pump and hoses, A/C with compressor, brackets, etc. Asking price is $1800 obo, I offered $1000 and am waiting to hear back from him. What do you guys think? Floor pans and trunk floor look solid.

My son just bought a 1979 Berlinetta from North Carolina that is solid everywhere except the floor pan from sitting over grass for 14 years. He paid $500 for this one and it was missing the engine but had a trans and interior. $1000 sounds pretty good if the body is even better than my sons.
