For those of you that watch the show Pinks on ESPN, as as FYI, Pinks is scheduled to be run at Gainesville Raceway April 19th (Saturday). This is the only Florida location on the schedule this year. I for one will try to make the final cut for the show, I think it will be a enjoyable experience.

I think it will be fun, since my car runs faster at Gainesville, I'm going to get me competition license (9.99 or faster) so I won't get kicked out of the show. Those Gainesville Techs are strict about that kind of stuff. We are going up in a group Friday, and have fun Saturday. Hopefully they're looking for a 10:00 class or a 9:90 class and I make the cut.

Thanks Greg, it should be a blast. I've been told that I can't run faster than 10:00 otherwise I need a fully certified cage, and I'm not about to put a cage in my street car. I thought about it for 1 second, and the roll bar will have to do, I've got all the other safety equipment, cut off switch, drive shaft loop, new seat belt harness, transmission shield, wheel studs and etc., so as far as I'm concerned, I'm good to go. I've never had a tech problem at Bowling Green, Gainesville or Orlando Tech wise, so I vote no cage....

Hey there 'T', you've run 9.9999 so all you've got to do is run a consistent 10.0000 :)

That's my thoughts, and I must say the car is consistant. During the bracket race at the Night Of Fire, I ran three 10:41's in a row. I was afraid that once it got cooler the car would really pick up, but round three, another 10:41 but I could not catch a 17 second truck. I had a big mile per hour 136.83 but he got to the stripe before I did. That's racing! After that race I made some changes to the suspension, and added an additional 50 shot of nitrous trying to get the car to go 9's and it worked! Now I won't make any more changes until Pinks.
